Practical philosophy, in a rethought form, could become a space – a third space – for the integration of the hitherto hyperseparated two-s – of “brain and hand”, of theory and action – in a largely caste divided society marked by longstanding traditions of not just untouchability, but by the eternalism of the divide between those who ‘know’ and those who ‘do’, those who ‘read’ the sacred texts and those who ‘labor’.
